The Finnish government will increase state borrowing to €13.2 billion in 2025, according to its second supplementary budget proposal presented to Parliament on Wednesday.
The updated plan includes €757 million in additional appropriations and a projected €187 million drop in actual revenue, pushing up net borrowing needs by €944 million compared to earlier estimates.
The revised figure is roughly €1 billion higher than what was forecast last year.
The supplementary budget includes new allocations for preparedness and transport infrastructure projects, although specific details have not yet been disclosed.
