A group of lottery players from Kerava shared the largest prize in Tuesday’s Eurojackpot draw, winning more than €1.2 million in total. The draw, which usually takes place at 10 p.m. in Helsinki, was delayed by several hours due to a technical fault.
The winning numbers for draw 16/2025 were 8, 11, 13, 33, 35 and Euro numbers 1 and 10.
There were no winners of the main jackpot, meaning the top prize on offer for Friday’s draw will rise to around €65 million.
The biggest win of the night was claimed in Finland, where a 10-share syndicate ticket earned two second-tier (5+1) prizes and one third-tier (5+0) prize. The ticket, played as a 6+3 system entry online, brought in a total of €1,223,640.20. The organiser of the group held two shares.
“Congratulations to all members of the syndicate on this great win. There’s real strength in numbers, and this system game proved to be both smart and lucky,” said Minna Sundholm, spokesperson for Veikkaus.
Another second-tier prize of €545,855.10 went to a player in the Czech Republic.
Third-tier (5+0) prizes were also awarded to players in Norway, the Netherlands, Denmark, and three in Germany, each worth €131,930. One of these wins was part of the Finnish syndicate’s total.
The draw could not proceed at the usual time due to a technical failure affecting one of the participating countries. According to Juho Virnes, product manager at Veikkaus, the problem delayed the draw but did not impact the integrity of the game or players’ tickets.
“When multiple countries and gaming operators are involved, data transmission issues may occur. Unfortunately, this time a technical issue in one country forced a delay. We apologise for the inconvenience,” Virnes said.
The Eurojackpot is drawn every Tuesday and Friday in Pasila, Helsinki, and involves 19 participating countries.
In other games drawn Tuesday, the winning Joker number was 8 4 0 2 4 6 1. No top-tier prizes were awarded in the Joker game.
The Lomatonnin draw produced three winners with the winning combination “Venetsia 51.”
