Tram lines 2, 4, and 10 will return to their usual routes along Mannerheimintie from Monday, 8 September. The Helsinki City Transport Authority confirmed the resumption after completing track works between Runeberginkatu and Reijolankatu.

The restored routes will re-establish direct tram links to key areas including Messukeskus, Munkkiniemi, and Pikku Huopalahti. Temporary arrangements introduced during the construction phase will end.

Kimmo Oksanen from Helsingin Sanomat first reported the update on Saturday evening.

Line 2 will again run between Olympiaterminaali and Messukeskus, following its standard route through Töölö, Ooppera, Mannerheimintie, Nordenskiöldinkatu, and Pasila. The previous diversion through Alppiharju between Pasila and Ooppera will stop.

Line 4 will operate on its standard route between Katajanokka and Munkkiniemi via Mannerheimintie. The diversion through Alppila and Reijolankatu will end.

Line 10 will resume full operation between Ullanlinna and Pikku Huopalahti. The rerouted segment between Ooppera and Paavalinkirkko will be removed.

Line 3 will also return to its Kuusitie terminus, though it will continue on a temporary route via Alppiharju and Helsinginkatu until separate works in Hakaniemi finish in November.

Newly updated tram stops at Ooppera, Töölön halli, and Kansaneläkelaitos will reopen. Temporary stops on Reijolankatu and Ruusulankatu will close.

A test run was conducted on Mannerheimintie on Thursday, 4 September. The trial showed the infrastructure is ready for regular traffic.

Works in Hakaniemi are ongoing. Trams will not operate over Pitkäsilta until early November. Routes remain split into two operating zones around the construction site.

North of Hakaniemi, services 6B, 7B, and 9B continue to run. South of Hakaniemi, routes 6T, 7T, and 9T remain in service. These temporary arrangements will remain until the completion of the Hakaniemi infrastructure project.
